Interesting credit card offer (for NZ): Bonus Points and Status Credits(!)

By chance I saw today a Qantas New Zealand credit card offer from ANZ: ANZ Platinum Visa Bonus Point Offer

Sign up bonus is 20.000 points and 100 Status Credits and double status credits until 31 March 2014. By the way, you also get 1 Qantas point per NZD and all that is only 150 NZD per year including overseas travel insurance.

Does anyone think that we will get bonus points plus status credits with new credit cards in Australia anytime soon?

You could get SCs from a Virgin credit card 2 years ago, and I believe you can now on an AMEX too.

Hmmm.. Just reading this it says double status credits for flights booked and travelled between October 2013 and March 2014. Does that mean if I were able to get this card the trip I booked back in October for travel in March would then be doubled in status credits?
