The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

A 28 Degrees Card that he could use and a rain jacket if he won't do an umbrella.

A universal power adaptor. I use a Tumi but there are others around that are more reasonably priced. That way he can charge his phone and music player.

Welcome aboard TK90, I remember my "favourite auntie" gave me a playboy and a packet of french letters when I first left these shores. For a teenager I'd be thinking ipod/ipad/tablet thingy, those fancy headphones for cancelling out the noise. E book reader (the first thing I take), camera... depends what he's into.

Can you get him the exit row aisle (assuming he's old enough), or even an upgrade to business. You'll be favorite aunty forever.

Maybe put his travel dates and flights here and see if he can get lounge access?

He will only have just turned 14 but I wonder if we have any lounge passes floating around on my desk. They are flying as a group so while I would be happy to upgrade him, I am not that nice to upgrade his friends. So far I have 50 euro in small notes, luggage tags, travel journal, pens, first aid kit, travel sim and will do Skype credit. I will find out if he is taking an ipad or tablet

You're doing pretty well so far. A Lonely Planet guide might be an idea (possibly even downloaded onto iDevice).

He may struggle to gain lounge access due to his age.

Itunes gift card is a good idea. I gave my sons one of these and for a couple of minutes they wondered why as they seem to have no problems getting music from others/CD's etc etc. Then they realised they could use it in the App Store.

Just an update: I ended up putting together travel RFID wallet, first aid kit, carabineer torch, wet pack, luggage tags, tucked in some euros and some Skype and iTunes credit. The coach had access to the lounge, which they loved. Thanks for the ideas and help. He is having a ball.

You've done well there. :p
