Hi Everyone, we are joining APT on "ms. Hebridean Sky" in Reykjavik on 18th July and looking forward to our circumnavigation of Iceland. It's described as "Land of Fire & Ice" cruise and it looks like it will be a cool July, judging by the weather forecast, but who cares! Is anyone from AFF joining this cruise? We have done two cruises on sister ship "ms. Island Sky" and we like the small ship feel with only 120 or so passengers. Coming straight home to Oz after the cruise, apart from one night in London to catch up with family.

*watching*

Enjoy and would love you to post as you go - we're going to Iceland next year (no cruise).

I was reading yesterday they had a heat wave - 18c

Pug1, sounds like a great way to,get around Iceland. Will you have wifi on board?

Will try for some posts on the way. As long as the sea is relatively smooth we don't mind the temperatures. Had Christmas at Lake Louise in Canada last December and it was minus 33C the day we left there!

Looking forward to following along. Did a circumnavigation a few years back on Silversea as part of a trip to Longerbyen. Very interesting part of the world.

I’m onboard already. Where is everyone? Would love to do this trip but combine it with seeking the northern lights. But I cant imagine the cold in winter.

I have looked at all the options(including Noble Caledonia ) but it seems the new Royal Caribbean expedition ship has the best Itinerary for our needs..:)

We were on the Caledonian Sky around Japan.Enjoyed the trip but not the ship or Botanica/APT organisers.
And yes we will be on the Scenic Eclipse.

Eye watering prices being quoted by Scenic ...
For our trip, hotel accommodation was approx $6+K plus breakfast, lunch & dinner each day. Which is why we're going to do a AirBnB, approx $2.6K and cereal/I can make a few meals during our stay and we get an entire apartment with laundry facilities.

And it is a bit hard to do both as the lights are best in winter and most of the cruises run in summer (except for Hurtigruten and similar which provide services). Someone on here did a TR of a winter cruise though I think.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Maybe by train then.
