I have a reward CX831 in J and I would like to move to CX841F

I have CX831 in J and I would like to move to CX841 F on the same day in June.
it’s JFK to HKG
It is booked through QF. There is an F seat showing as available, but I’m just wondering what it would cost me to change the booking, it is the only sector on that booking. Any advice please on charges for that change?

I am considering this because I have lots of QF points and they are difficult to use otherwise.

Did you book as a reward flight or paid? If reward you can call and it will cost you 5,000 points to change

With all the CX cancels I reckon it will be some wait. Can’t change it online?

Is there a Change or Cancel button on the QF website? Click change and it will ask for a date and then if available, the flights. I think the fee is 50000 for a change and 6000 for a cancel plus any extra points if going from J to F.

Yeah maybe 5,000 and not 50,000
