Already an HSBC customer so can't apply.

IMHO the card is only good for the sign up bonus as $2.5k a month is pretty low.

This offer has been around for quite some time.

Quite a poor offering when you can get the Jetstar card for $69 with 40,000 QFF points.

There is also a Macquarie deal going around for 40,000 QFF points for a reduced $99 annual fee in the first year - and free supplementary card holders too.

How long does HSBC usually take to provide the points after the qualifying spend has been made?

I applied for this earlier this year, and satisfied the spend criteria about 5 weeks into receiving the card. HSBC only credited the bonus points at the end of the 3 month qualification period.

Thinking of switching from ANZ Black.
You have to wait 12 months after cancelling ANZ Black before you can reapply for it and get the 75,000 points again. So a lot of us will cancel the ANZ Black not long after getting the 75,000 points. So whichever card you go with next it's probably best to cancel the ANZ Black ASAP if the signup bonus has already hit your account.
