I thought I would start a new thread. Now, lets include hotels, airlines and CC's and we are talking the top tier in each program to qualify (I'll allow Amex Plat, Black or Centurion as the Amex top tier as few people would qualify otherwise)

I hit on 5 programs:

Amex (Plat)
Citibank Visa (Plat)
ANZ Visa (Plat)
Qantas (Plat)
Priority Club (Plat)

I'm sure others will have better than that - I think Kiwi Flyer would win hands down, if he were still on AFF.

Of course, there are a bunch of other programs, but either base or mid-level which doesn't count (strange how Hyatt Plat is only mid level)

I feel positively belittled - just

AAdvantage - EXP
HHonors - Diamond

I have a CC or two including one listed, I reckon CC's won't count for me as I refuse to pay the exorbitant rates charged for many a "Top Tier" card.

None, I'm afraid.

I am a UA 1K, Million Miler, but that's not their top level.

PC : Plat

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

4 I think.

the more status I earn, the more I realise that status is actually quite easy to buy/obtain. It isn't special at all!

Sometimes it is expensive though

Hmm now I recall that prior to August 2004 Senator status on Miles and More used to be top shelf AND easier to earn (higher status miles accrual).

Post August 2004 it's superseded by HON Circle to become mid tier, is harder to earn (enhanced status miles accrual), and above all - is slowly diluted by insidious annual enhancements.

So can I claim membership of 'once upon a time' top dog status? :p

Citibank plat.
HH Diamond.
And thanks to here and FT AA Explat in december and SPG platinum in March 08

AFF Posting Freak. ;)

Unfortunately nothing, that's the problem with having dribs and drabs with everything. QFWP next November hopefully. :p

Caveat re CCs - over here in the US of A Plat or "top tier" CCs are nothing special (they're not all like Amex Plat) ;)

QF WP (at least for another 6 weeks)
AAdv EXP
HH Diamond
Hyatt Diamond
Citi MC Plat
