I was just looking at my Flybuys account and noticed I had 34875 points .... it got me thinking of what I plan to do with them .... redeem for flights , hotels , maybe something I need around the house , or simply just convert of to Flybuys Dollars to save off my shopping... the jury is out at this stage.

How many Flybuys points do you have ? Do you have a future or ongoing redemption plan ?

I redeem for flybuys dollars as soon as the account hits 2000. I got into flybuys to save money on my groceries so I'm happy to clear the points down as soon as I can. I've always worried with points schemes that the points will get devalued if I hold onto them for too long. I've been burned before for doing this, so I now redeem points as soon as I can on all the programs I am a member of.

Nearly 5,000... I usually redeem as soon as I hit 2,000 but right now I'm saving up for a big FlyBuy dollar redemption.

I had 40k points earned since the relaunch thanks to judicious use of vouchers. I've since discovered FB$ thanks to rainbowgirl and have redeemed nearly $200 worth of FB$ in the last month or so.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have just over 10k and no idea what to do with them. Don't really pay attention to them. Are they worth anything?

Yeah flybuys is nothing to write home about, I'm only a member because I do shop at Coles and others group shops so may as well get something from the shopping I would have done otherwise.
Have got about 20,000 but due to the poor value when redeeming through 'webjet' with their absurd surcharges so I may keep saving or maybe use on flybuys $.
All in all flybuys in my opinion is one of the worst loyalty programmes out there!

34K points and about to redeem the dinner buffet for 2 at Langham.

Kyle that would work the best for us. The Langham in Melbourne is one of my favourites and I can see the L from my window when we are in Melbourne.
Flybys are of such little value it does not influence where we shop.

At the $10 for 2000 points they have a value of 1/2 cent each.

So 34k is about $170 worth at that redemption level.

The 34K Langham buffet voucher is for Monday toThursday - cost per head is $84.90. Sundays $92.90.

Better value is the $10 for 2k.

At least the $170 (or $186) can be leveraged to earn up to 507 (or 555) Amex MR points.

What's the Langham buffet cost per head in $$$.

$92.90 per head on Sundays and $84.90 per head Mondays to Thursdays

The Langham surcharges credit cards I think so we might go there for a midweek lunch instead.
Half a cent a point is too weak. At least with a Woolies Group Qantas point you can make them worth 3 or 4 cents retail by going on a business class flight. If that is what you want to do it does make a difference.
Getting the cash and then using a 3 points per dollar Amex transaction is possible to keep a bit better value from Flybys.

I have 91k points, and am trying to get to 150k to get a Kitchen Aid in the colour I want. Most other points offerings for Kitchen Aids are the red one only. And I don't want to use my QF points for it. Or pay cash, though I get tempted to bring one home from the US ...

Katie you will need a step down transformer for a US sourced electrical item as they are 60 Hertz 110 Volt and we are 50Hertz 240 Volt. You can get them to work but now we don't bother doing this.
You can get a top brand ice cream maker in the US for about $39 US.

I'm around 220k. My redemption plan is to convert to credit on my Visa card which can be done if you're a NAB Visa customer. Rate is 20,000pts for $100. So my next credit card bill should be $1,100 lower then usual.

Check the flybuys redemptions section. Last I heard they had removed this particular type of redemption. Many members were very disappointed.

You're quite right rainbowgirl. Add me to the list of members who are very disappointed. Still, Coles gift cards is close to the same burn rate, but with a restricted range of places to spend.

I'm just redeeming them for $FB. Its alright when using it with a staff card; 5% off purchases plus double flybuy points on everything
