We have a couple of flights booked within Europe with Lufthansa and Swiss.
The cabin bag dimensions are 55x40x20cm. This is the same regardless of class booked.
I have 2 cabin bags but both are wider than 20cm. As the overall dimensions of one of my bags is pretty small, but it is 25cm wide, I phoned and asked if it would be OK. The answer was no.
Because of a couple of 1 hour flights in Europe I'll have to leave my wheeled cabin bag at home. With a long transit in Singapore on the way over, this is a pain.
I understand airlines setting limits on cabin luggage size, but limits for each individual side, 20cm seems very narrow? Surely you should be able to buy a standard size cabin bag and know it will suit all airlines.
...end of rant
