I bought an international hours ago and it still hasn't ticketed nor has my card been charged.

Is this normal? Is this because it's a weekend? Or do flights to the US take longer to ticket?

Have just booked two "F" classic award tickets for USA in Sept.18. One seat direct off QF online the other additional seat release request with QF angels. Qantas would not ticket either seat until they had our complete APIS information. Seems the US government are very strict and Qantas have adopted this approach to ensure information is completed in a timely manner. Pity our passport expiry date is in 8 months. Whilst speaking with QF angels to pay for second seat, they recognised our APIS information was entered & happily stated seats will now be approved for ticketing. This was when the charge came through for both points & tax fees. Tickets arrived within 10 minutes.

So what happens if you book tickets as soon as the window opens but passports expire before you travel? Especially Award tickets.

I filled in the APIs promptly. Hours later it still hasn't ticketed. I guess I'll chase QF in a day or two if it still hasn't ticketed.

Yes that's our situation. I filled in APIS with our passport expire date prior to travel date. Will update once new passports issue. Can only assume filling in the APS boxes flags a green light for ticketing.

You can change your passport details at any time. Even use a different passport at check-in.

Would give them a call but when I have booked generally tickets drop in my mail box within the hour.

As long as you have a PNR you will be fine.

I have had it that they system had a heart failure and issued a PNR but never a e mail but was in my upcoming flights but was a unconfirmed flight and when I went to check in I had to go to a desk and they had to do some wizard work on the system. That day I booked about 50 flights for people to a conference. Mine was the one I missed.

I need it to ticket before I can put in upgrade requests so I'll definitely be calling them sometime this week if it doesn't ticket automatically.

You can call them now. They just send the it for instant issuing while you wait.

Likely been put in the Far Queue for "manual processing" for some reason. definitely call and get it pushed through

Called QANTAS. The system didn't handle the airport tax properly for some reason so it was in the queue for manual processing. They've handled that now and sent it off for ticketing again.

It should hopefully ticket within about 24 hours of my call. If not I'll be back on the phone again.

Still waiting. Thinking I may need to call them again today. I hope I don't.

I’ve never had this issue. But did have ‘the queue’ issue when waiting for a refund recently. Seems to be spreading.

Called them again. This time they think they've got fixing the taxes right.

Should take somewhere from 30 minutes to about 3 hours this time for it to ticket.
