Just wondering what others' experiences are with the time taken for these flights to post - I did two WA regional flights recently, booked through the VA website and Velocity number attached to booking, but 11 days on and still nothing posted to my account. Is anyone else experiencing delays with these flights coming through?

I decided to wait to book (and take) the flights until after the official VA takeover date of 2 August, to try to avoid issues experienced last year when chasing up Skywest SCs and points - Velocity staff insisted that these (regular commercial) flights were charter flights and did not qualify! All was eventually sorted out thanks to the invaluable assistance of the VA rep on this forum :).

Was hoping for better luck this time, but as it rapidly approaches the "allow 14 days before putting in a claim" mark, it doesn't look like they're going to post automatically, so looks like a retro claim through the website coming up ...

I flew with regional last Friday and the points hadn't turned up, so I filled out a retro claim today, just in case.

Had a Kalgoorlie-Perth trip post within two days in August

Still nothing :( so have put in a retro claim and waiting to see if that works ...

Even though I received a confirmation messsage that the retro claim had been successful and points and SCs owed would be credited to my account within 72 hours, a week later nothing has come through, so I rang the Gold help desk and spoke to a very nice young lady who spent some time looking at my account and then asked me "so these were on our charter flights?" Oh cr*p, this is EXACTLY the problem I had last year when trying to claim SCs and points for the exact same routing!!!! I explained that no, these are regular commercial flights (formerly Skywest, now owned and operated by VA) which seemed to throw her, so she put me on hold for several minutes then came back to say I had to wait 14 days from the date of the retro claim and the points "should be" credited within that time. So why then the "will be credited within 72 hours" message when lodging the claim??

She also told me that the retro claim doesn't even show on my account (at their end - not even as pending) until it's been finalised - so there's no way of knowing what stage it's at (or even being sure that they've actually GOT it). :(

Mine still haven't shown up either, and I got the same "72 hours" message. I put in my return flight as a retro a couple of days later and had a "14 days" message!

Took me more than 2.5 months for PER- Derby flights to get credited..... yet Esperance ones were less than a week. The joys of VA....

Did you need to resubmit the retro claim for the PER-Derby flights, or was it a matter of regularly chasing up the original claim until they finally credited?

Mine still haven't shown up, so I just called the Plat line and they said they'll manually put them through today.

Mine haven't shown up either, so seeing as it sounds like you've managed to get a result :) , I just rang the Gold line and spoke to a very pleasant and helpful lady there - unfortunately the Plat/Gold support team finish at 8pm (Eastern States time) so she couldn't ring through to them to get them to have a look at it, but she said she would email the details through to them and hopefully everything will post within the next few days and to ring her back later in the week if they haven't gone through. Darn, I wish I'd known about the support team finish time!!!

Had the same problem in the end gave up, too complicated.

I need the 2 eligible sectors from these flights to go towards requalifying for Gold this year, so can't afford to give up on chasing them up!

Had the same problem and needed the points (SC) for re-qualifying for gold.
The two sectors where Perth - Onslow and back. The difficulty was insurmountable. The other issue was Virgin being very difficult & inflexible with an upgrade purchase to business! (By denying) Blind Freddie could see that business was empty on my connecting flights to/from Melbourne. Virgin can obviously afford 110mln loss and Borghetti saying "nobody wants to spend money" is absolutely not true and is a smack in the face of Virgin Australia customers. Dealing with them VA is useless no amount of phone calls or emails have helped. They don't care their emails are a case in point. All me me me (VA) and screw you rhetoric made to make u feel warm and fuzzy. The fact I loose my Gold and that I am not going to flying with them anymore completely ignored. Maybe Borghetti was right ?? Here is me giving you money Mr Borghetti and here's you with glove slapping me in the face.

Success at last! Still nothing processed, so rang the Gold call centre for the third time - the woman I spoke to was really on the ball and very proactive. I told her my tale of woe - no problem, she said she could process the claim manually straight away as they are domestic flights (apparently they can't do the same with international flights), and 10 minutes later the SCs, points and eligible sectors were in my accounts, so very pleased it's now all sorted :) and have sent some positive feedback for that particular customer service agent via the Velocity website.
