HNL to YVR return.

Looking for flights Honolulu to Vancouver return next August / September, but seem resticted to overnight flights with Air Canada or Westjet. Browsing early in the year (february/march) shows some lunchtime/afternoon flights, but they don't seem to carry thru to later in the year. Any reason why no day flights in Aug/Sep ??

I queried random weeks in August and September 2019 within ExpertFlyer and found no departures earlier than 2200. However, although I assume this is no use to you, a 1355 departure (flight AC516/NZ4514) appears in the Northern Winter 2019 schedule ie. late October onwards.

August/September is off-peak for Hawaii-Canada so the airlines are only running 1 daily flight instead of 2 (in the case of Westjet). It's more efficient for them, from an aircraft utilisation point of view, to operate the return flight as a redeye.

Is flying via Seattle an option? There are a few day flights available if you don't mind the extra stop.
