Hilton Q4 2013 Promotion (until 31 January 2014) - Double/Triple/Quadruple Points

LoyaltyLobby reports that the Hilton Q4 promotion for 2013 will be from 10th October 2013 to 31st January 2014.

It will run a bit longer than the recent quarterly promotions, continuing until the end of January.

LoyaltyLobby says "You earn regular points (no bonuses) for one night stays, double points for stays of two nights, triple points for stays of three nights, and quadruple points for stays of four nights or longer".

Probably good for those who stay in the same place for a few days.

And nothing for those of us who still need a few more stays to retain our Diamond status. My next five stays in the promo period are all single nights.

With a 6 night stay at Hilton Athens, and a 4 night stay at Conrad Hong Kong during the promo period, this should be a good promo for me....if only Hh points hadn't been devalued so much earlier this year.

Same old, bad promo from HH. Really doesn't give any incentive for business travelers.

Seems to indicate that since the enhancements from earlier in the year, no. of points has taken a backseat to matress running for status renewal, which in turn has prompted a greater number of one night stays.

I'm sure I'm not the only one somewhat underwhelmed by HH promos this year, when compared to previous years.

This would normally tie in well for me, but I'm doing this years end of year trips in points.
Actually, as a paid trip this promotion would probably pay for a week at the Maldives...

This is annoying. I have a multi day stay coming up from 2-6 October. It falls between the promo periods

I Have a stay coming up in Hilton coughet in November-December. Booked three separate bookings. First night is a normal stay, then 8 nights as reward stay, and then 4 nights as a normal stay again. According to the terms and conditions if any stay has any reward nights, the whole stay is considered reward and therefore not eligible for this bonus so no bonuses apply. Am I understanding this correctly?

Correct.
However, in practice the system generally treats the 3 bookings individually. You will probably get 2 stay credits, 5 nights, and the 4 nights if they fall under Q4 promo will be eligible for quad points.

But, YMMV, esp with Hilton. Their IT just doesn't work.

I would be surprised if there is more than one stay credit allocated.
The rules are very specific about stay credits on back to back stays and I've always seen them enforced.

Yeah, the rules are one thing. But many of my stays are done in bits and pieces with multiple bookings, and they all post differently. I think it's very luck of the draw.
Definitely don't bank on anything except what the rules say. Actually, even then the diamond desk sometimes get that wrong and try to not give points for incidentals on reward stays.

I am currently Diamond and this would go a long way to help re-qualify. Currently only qualified for silver next year. Is the quadruple miles the ones which count toward status or the 'bonus' miles?

No, only base points count. That is pure spend, paid nights or stays only. Bonuses only add to your post-devaluation points haul.

I have gone the other way. This 'poor' offer from Hilton gives me the incentive to go for the IHG Rewards Big Win promo instead.
