Help with upgrades

Hi all
Have an upcoming work trip booked Syd-Bom-Syd on SQ. The booking has been done by corporate travel team using a travel agent. The booking class is W and S. I am getting an option of upgrade with miles but the error when doing the upgrade is that booking was done using a different KrisFlyer number-.
question
1. Can i upgrade from S and W to business
2. What is the way to get around the krisflyer error.

According to the upgrade chart

"• Economy Class tickets purchased on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir must be inY, B or E booking classes to be eligible for the upgrade redemption award"

Then you might find that you dont need the answer to Q2. If you do I suggest calling the Call Centre.

Can't help with Point 2, but I didn't think you could actually upgrade with miles on a W booking (not sure about an S) as from my understanding it's a 'flexi saver' ticket (not a full flexi). Would be happy to stand corrected.....

I've seen glitches in the system like this. You have two ticket types: one can be upgraded, the other can't. As per normal rules, most restrictive applies. However, I think the Krisflyer system sees a sector with the upgradeable ticket and teases you with the upgrade offer for that sector, even though the ticket overall is not illegible.
