Has latest Android client broken photos?

Maybe its just my phone... but I haven't been able to view inline image on my android since the latest app update. The photo is represented by a broken box.

Viewing the thread in Firefox for android renders the photo properly.

Is this an error specific to me, or a bug?
 
Hmm... I'm having the same problem. I thought it was just me. Will check with Tapatalk and get back to you by posting on this thread.

Thanks for the confirmations. While bugs are always annoying, having others replicate the issue does help with getting them resolved!
 
Yes same issue here on my Galaxy Tab...also of note, is I have not been able to use the app on my Galaxy SIII since the update. Have deleted and re installed but can not get it to work.

I'm running the App on a Galaxy SIII. If you continue to have difficulties, please PM me the details so I can investigate.
 
There is another issue that when my Galaxy Sii is powered down, on power up, the saved 'icon' / bookmark on the android screen disappears.

I'm seeing that image on the Android App too. What is interesting is that the image doesn't display on my Safari browser! It is tagged as

I put in a support request to Tapatalk on Monday, and still haven't heard back from them. I'll escalate it.
BTW: I see others are reporting the same issue on the Tapatalk support forums.

Tapatalk now confirm that it is indeed a bug in the Android release which effects some websites. They have already put out a new release with a fix, I'll test it tomorrow and then if OK make it available for download.

I'm getting a weird issue where if I try to use the AustFreqFly app on my Samsung S3 but on my carrier's packet data (Virgin Postpaid), it tries to connect to the server but just sits there like a stunned mullet at the opening splash screen. Connect it to any wifi, however, and bingo - works like a treat.

I'm guessing this is not an app issue and more a carrier issue, but can't for the life of me work out why (and no I am not out of data - not by a country mile).
 
It's almost certainly a carrier issue. Probably between Virgin and the Tapatalk servers. The first thing the App does when opened is to connect to the Tapatalk server to get some settings, then connects to the AFF server. If it doesn't advance past the splash screen, I think it is stuck trying to communicate with Tapatalk.

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem?

Anatol: I get the same oroblems on my iphone which is on telstra however most of the time I only have problems when connected via wifi.

Having migrated to android this week, ive noticed major differences between the iphone and android apps. Photo attachments apprar broken for me too
 
I've had that issue (not connecting) with android too.. did packet traces and all looked good. Hasn't fully Gone away, but is very rare nowadays for me.
 
The new version has been released and is available for download. It does fix that problem :)

Not seeing it fixed here after the update. Wondering if it is a cache issue on my client, or only new posts will be fixed. Will do a test post below.
