I found this interesting email waiting for me yesterday:

bday.jpg

Now, my birthday's not in Feb - and QF knows this - but I appreciate the gesture.

Redroo - how about 10% off classic rewards booked in the month of your bday (or even better, SCs earned on Classic Award bookings as a birthday present)? Would encourage burn of points if QFF wanted to reduce ongoing liabilities and we all know the masses would head for Y :)

That is very strange that your birthday and the offer do not match. Sorry to ask, but are you sure?? (about the system details not your actual birthday :0 )

Are you sure this isn't a fraudulent email? The branding style seems off and the grammer is suspicious - "treat yourself to something perfectly suited". The * after Qantas Store also does not make any sense in this context.

They had my QFF number and correct points balance at the top, email was from (privacy numbers)[email protected]

Layout the same as all other Qantas emails so I presume legit. EDIT: I realise the standard header and footer as common to current QF loyalty emails are not pictured in my screenshot, so my apologies about that.

My birthday is in feb and I got it on the right day
Is your birthday right in your ff profile? I assume thats what they use.

Incidentaly I got a 15% off offer for the QF store

Even at 15% off. I think I would prefer my toaster shopping at Harvey Norman or Myer

How about a discount on the anniversary date of joining QFF and a discount amount related to the number of years (preferably related to classic awards). Now that would be a retention bonus!

"<number of years a member"% discount on classic awards sounds good to me.

Bad grammar has never been a flag that the e-mail wasn't from Qantas, in my humble experience!

I got one as well (right month...).
Is there even anything useful in the store?

Well I got the offer of a 10% birthday discount in the Qantas store but I think I'll wait until next year and get a 22% discount off Classic Awards to reflect the number of years since I joined QFF. Red Roo, it's only a hint!

Mine was last Sunday didn't get one, not that I wanted the offer anyway.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

My brother and I received these emails last month. One email had 10% off the other email had 15% off.

Mine was received correctly this month... but only for 10%... not that it matters as I wouldn't blow my points in store anyway

I got one today for my birthday (tomorrow!) and with 15% off. As usual QF is consistently inconsistent.

Myer sent me a $10 voucher. I know which I'd rather have.
