Gulf air Bangkok to London

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone has flew Gulf Air, particularly on the BKK to LHR route? Their J fare of 2 K for this BKK-LHR route seems to be a good price. I would be grateful if you can comment on the quality of their hard and soft products as well as any hidden issues when transiting via Bahrain.

IIRC it's their A330 BKK-BAH and then their new 789 BAH-LHR. There's pictures here: Revealed: Gulf Air's Incredible New 787 Business Class - One Mile at a Time

They have the apex suite for the 789. Full flats for the A330. The window apex suites are probably one of the best seats out there.

I last flew them several years ago now, but they were reasonably good back then. I wouldn't hesitate for the fare.
