My father was a train driver. I am mindful not to glorify or romanticize Ronald Biggs' exploits. He/ his gang did kill during the robbery, didn't they? If not, they probably left some very traumatised people.

No one died during the robbery but the train driver was coshed, later died of leukemia which his family blamed on the robbery.

His ex-wife and their two surviving children still live in MEL.
