I read someone else's post on here about this guy and I have to agree. Has your drink ready before you get to the bar, just the way you like it, knows where you are headed off to or where you've come from, and quite happy to have a chat when he has a moment. Incidentally he is employed directly by Qantas, unlike many of the other downcast types.

On another note, there is one person on the door who will never give me a business upgrade because I tried to help a guy in front of me whom said person was comprehensively confusing. To the point where if I see this individual I now go straight to the Club for an upgrade. Dragon does the whole 'computer says no' thing every time. Does anyone know to whom I can speak about this individual?

I have a mate in the J lounge but not Graham, in fact my friend is a contractor. I don't deal with the door people much, but one of them last night was happy to do me an upgrade. That blew my qantas 91st birthday double points. Thanks Qantas Happy Birthday.

Yes, I have been singing Grahams praises for 5 or 6 years now. He's very good

Sent using a fire, green leaves and blanket creating smoke signals.

Graham is the barman with a bit of an accent, right?

If so, I can wholeheartedly agree with the praise. A pleasant man indeed.

Got to agree, Graham is fantastic and a heck of a nice guy too.
First time he had my bizarre drink request ready for me before I even asked tripped me out

Good help is hard to find these days.

I don't think I've ever met this guy but it warms my heart to hear there are still people within QF who actually care.

I hope you're all sending in feedback about him. Sounds like he needs a pay rise.

Not good with names but is Graham the one with the "Scottish" accent? Or at least it sounds Scottish to me.

The bartender that serves me most times knows my drink as I am approaching the bar. "Pure Blonde sir?". And always takes care of me with vodka and orange before I board the flight. He was disappointed last year when I did not have an alcoholic drink for 101 days and was ordering diet coke all the time.

May I ask what sort of response you've received from to the nominations. As I mentioned, I've nominated someone else in this lounge and the verbal response was basically that they know the name well and that that person gets lots of good feedback.

Anyway, I've not encountered Graham, maybe because the guy I've met* get drinks from the bar for me. I'll have to look out for him.

* I'm not saying names as I don't want to risk detracting from Graham

I have always had a follow up phone call after I have sent the email. Both times thanking me for the nomination-no further contact.

Carol (barrister @ the J lounge) makes THE best coffee in Sydney IMHO.

+1. She is always so delightful. I made of point of introducing myself, and it turns out she used to have her own coffee shop. She always greets my with a huge smile, by my name and knows my coffee order.

Yeah, she's great as well, but not a QF employee.

now that QF is not fighting with its unions, their legal team have to do something........besides, they can't be sacked cos they might sue, so coffee it is!!

Graham was working Saturday morning. After shaking his hand and wishing a HNY, he offered crownies at 1030am. Who was I to refuse?

he called me over the other night to say hello and furnished me with a very nice gin and tonic made perfectly to specification. I hadn't even seen him, was walking past to leave and was persuaded by the good company to stay. What a champ.

A bit of thread necromancy, but it's great to see Graeme back behind the bar after some time off, whilst some of you may already know, he's just become a dad for the first time, a healthy 3.6kg boy with the great Scottish name Gordon.

Just putting it out there but is it appropriate to call Qantas club receptionists "dragons"?

For a forum that tries to be very well mannered 90% of the time I find this a bit strange.
