Continuing on from http://www.australianfrequentflyer....al-hotel-loyalty-discussion/myerone-5093.html which hasn't had a post since 2005. I know this is in the "General Hotel Loyalty" section, but it's because that's where the previous post is and I can't see anywhere else appropriate.

MyerOne now provide "Shopping Credits" at selected Caltex service stations.

Re: MyerOne

Great find. I tried it yesterday. It works, but the only problem I have is that the EFTPOS terminal doesn't read the Amex chip nor take the Amex PIN. This seems to apply to all of the Caltex stations not owned by Woolworths.

Re: MyerOne

Now it makes sense why the service station guy asked if I had a Myer One card the other day.

That's how I 'found' it too ;)
I asked if I could also swipe my EDR and he said yes.

Interestingly I picked up a car at Europcar last night. They have the same sign as Caltex, but you can only credit to one program (and I prefer Velocity for them).

Re: MyerOne

Plus some of the Caltex surcharge for credit cards....

Correct. The "more Woolworthsy" ones don't seem to .. but the ones that must be Caltex with just Woolworths signage do often surcharge for AMEX.
I have three Caltex within 10 mins of my place - one surcharges and two don't, so I go to those two.

Re: MyerOne

My coffee hasn't worked yet for today..

But how do you get this ?

Got Myer One?

There must be a new fight on between Shell and WW Caltex.

See the Flybuys thread about now being able to use Flybuys with a Shell Card.

Today, I'm fuelling at the local WW Caltex. He asks if I have Myer One. I'm like WTF? As of two weeks ago, they now accept Myer One in addition to your EDR! Use your AMEX or WW credit card for a triple bonus. (QF point with the EDR, QF point with the CC, Myer One points with the Myer One card)

Of course, my Myer One card is an app on the phone, so I don't carry the actual card. Well, I do now, as they need to swipe the card, not scan the barcode.

Not sure on the points per $, but whatever, it's free points. As I recall Myer One is effectively a 2% discount (by voucher).

There's a thread about it in the hotel loyalty program category.

Of course, the Myer hotel chain. Why did I not think of putting it there?

LOL

Congrats on finding another avenue for gaining more points AVC. I truly hope it lasts.

Is this being kept a secret from Myer 1 card holders?

Thanks for this thread. Another thing I wouldn't have known without this forum. :)

Re: MyerOne

DeKa, thanks for posting the service station list. This was mentioned in another thread, as I would not have thought to check in the hotel loyalty board regards Myer one. :)
