It doesn't mention an end date so hopefully the changes are long-term?
At least it takes out the stress on guessing which A330 plane you will be on as the A350 & B787-9 hard product look far superior :)

Are they going to cater edible food and drinkable wine in their fancy new planes? =P

My parents departed on MU562 SYD-PVG today and it was on the A359. They got a return flight in Y for under $600 a month or so ago. Just a few notes on their experience so far. The on line check in wasn’t available and after finally getting through to a call centre my father was advised to rock up at the airport 3 hours before the flight if he wished to select seats. I went to the checkin with my parents at 8:30 (12pm flight) and the lineup was out the door already but we soon found out that MU792 to NKG (1130 flight) was using the same checkin desks so utter chaos. Whilst waiting in the queue a MU employee was handing out a slip of paper to all that were on MU562 offering paid upgrades at the counter. $400 for PE or $1200 for J. My parents both considered the PE upgrade but on checkin they were informed that the flight wasn’t near capacity so they decided to risk it on Y.
My father sent me a text just before departure saying they both got a full row to themselves but for the flight home they might look at an upgrade
