I thought I’d create a thread to record treatment of GHA Discovery Elite members similar to other programs as obviously the experience is hugely different between the brands.

Property: Parkroyal Darling Harbour Sydney
Room booked: King Superior
Status: Titanium
Rate: $240
Received: King Club (including Club benefits)
Amenity: Red wine + cheese, salami and dried fruits platter
Breakfast: Club lounge + restaurant for free

Late checkout was granted to noon, not sure if more would have been available. Plus Titanium members get 25% off at the bar and restaurant which was applied automatically at checkout without me having to do anything.

Good idea @muppet a couple of stays from June

Property: Pan Pacific Perth
Status: Titanium
Room booked: Deluxe Room
Room upgraded/type: Yes to Premier River View Room
Rate: Wine Dine and Unwind at Mas Vino $280.50pn
Early check in/late out: Early check in was granted, didn't require late check out
Amenity: Yes but can't remember exactly what it was
Free Breakfast: Yes
Recommend: Yes but see note about parking

Hotel has finished it's renovations & looks a lot better than it did a few years ago.

Rate included 2 glasses of wine & some Canapes at the hotel Wine Bar. There was some sort of mix-up where they initially forgot to serve the Canapes & then when I queried it provided the Cheese & Meat Board by mistake which they subsequently tried to charge me for. Took a few minutes to clarify what had happened & be resolved.

Parking is $40 per day at the adjacent car park & this only includes one entry/exit per day.

Property: Anantara Lawana Resort Koh Samui
Status: Titanium
Room booked: Pool Suite
Room upgraded/type: Yes to Pool Villa
Rate: Best Flexible with Breakfast $392pn
Early check in/late out: Early check in was granted, didn't require late check out
Amenity: Yes see photo
Free Breakfast: Yes, included with rate. Believe Anantara does not yet include complimentary breakfast for Titanium members
Recommend: Yes, definitely!

Granted early Check In and double upgrade as when I checked the night before there were no Pool Villas available.

Great place to chill out

Welcome amenity for 2, I was a Solo Traveler but always book for 2 if the rate which includes breakfast does not change for 1 or 2 travelers.

A couple of reports from my April trip. No photos though, sadly.

Property: NH Collection Grand Hansa Helsinki
Status: Titanium
Room booked: Superior room x 2
Room upgraded/type: Yes - one room upgraded to a junior suite
Rate: Black Friday - 808 euros for both rooms for 4 nights (an absolute steal!)
Early check in/late check out: Early check in was granted, initially for one and then for both rooms (this was handy as AY gets into HEL from SIN very early).
Amenity: Yes - box of four chocolates and fresh fruit
Free breakfast: No
Recommend: Absolutely yes. This was a great hotel.

My dad and his partner moved from the junior suite as there was an issue with hot water in the shower (and the bathroom was incredibly dark too). Their other room was much more pleasant and the staff were very accommodating.

Property: NH Collection Dresden Altmarkt
Status: Titanium
Room booked: Superior room x 2
Room upgraded/type: Yes - one room upgraded to a suite
Rate: Special deal promo - 532 euros for 3 nights
Early check in/late check out: Not required
Amenity: Yes - two cakes (which my dad snaffled dammit!)
Free breakfast: No
Recommend: Not unless you like being woken early by a church bell that starts at 6AM. Protestant work ethic be damned - I want to sleep in! (The hotel itself is very nice though so if you can live with that, it's a nice place to stay in central Dresden.)
