Getting the most out of SPG Gold

What are the key benefits and which SPG properties offer the best treatment? I also have PC Gold so often it will be a comparison between the two that affects where I stay. Any insights?

IME, SPG benefits = ICH PCG benefits = SFA (other than the guaranteed status Bonus of 50% / 10%)

I tend to find that I get slightly better rooms as SPG gold. I have also used the 4pm late check out many times.

SPG Gold gives you guaranteed 4pm late check out (other than at resort or conference center properties where this benefit is subject to availability) which is possibly the single most useful benefit of any hotel loyalty program.
