Getting status upgrades early - anyone been bumped up?

Hi all,

Have any Velocity members seen their status elevated prior to passing the Status Credit hurdle?

I've experienced this today. I'm not at all complaining, but I am curious as to the basis.

Prior to the last 12 months, I have never earned a Velocity status other than Red. I quickly went from Red to Silver and then Gold in December 2014, and got to 980 SC a day or so ago. Logging in to see my point balance, I saw that I had been afforded a Status Review and was now Platinum.

I question this for another reason, given I received an e-mail offering congratulations on maintaining Gold even though I'd done so months ago.

I would like to think I've been awarded Platinum status and the messaging is slightly odd, although I worry about a potential system bug.
