For anyone wondering, can confirm they supply Certificate of Eligibility and Information Booklet on request. Its important to me since it's automatically added after a certain spend on the Plat card...I'm a little obsessive with confirmations and documentation.

Is it hard copy or emailed?

Emailed, which is my preference anyhow. I can always print if I need to. It also has a list of items to have on you if making a claim, something I wasn't 100% clear on before receiving it.

They also included a 52 page booklet that goes into detail on the extent of the cover with all the policy numbers etc that they recommend having on you when making the claims. That one I won't be printing though!

When I a while back they just in the PDS just use the Generic Policy number in there and keep a Credit Card statement on you when you travel of the $500 worth of travel expenses for coverage. I added Pre-Existing with the fee for which they did send a Certificate for the Pre-Existings.

Are you saying you have received a Certificate for meeting the minimum spend in travel expenses? Does it list the people covered or just general ie. card holder and spouse, etc.

You can just download the booklet with the standard policy number from the website.

Thinking about just using the travel insurance provided by the westpac platinum visa for upcoming trip to vietnam . I meet the spend for flights etc . Only drawback i can see is items lost/left / misplaced , not being covered . Any more info gratefully appreciated .
