I'm happy to advise that Matt Graham, our AFF Gazette editor and Frequent Flyer Solutions consultant, will be a Speaker at the upcoming Frequent Traveler University (FTU) event to be held at the Brisbane Marriott Sat 14 & Sun 15 April 2018.

Matt will be speaking about award travel booking strategies.

Full details of the event is available at Home - FTU Brisbane 2018

Use Code EARLYBIRD for $20 discount if registering for FTU Brisbane before 28th February.

Note: The Australian Frequent Flyer is not associated with FTU and receives no payment or any other financial benefit for promoting this event. This post is for the benefit of our members who might be interested in attending.

I've been asked to go as well and they want me to Moderate a session, introduce a speaker. Only likely I'll be there for Saturday afternoon session, given my sons Saturday AFL involvement.

@Storyteller, won't know whether it will be a home game (as I'm a Ground Marshall and also First Aid accredited - I'll be required to attend), or an away game (where I'll just be a parent supporter) until closer to the date.

Hopefully will have the optional dinner for the Saturday night 14 April in place in the next few days.
This will be open for FTU Attendees plus any AFF or other social media Flyer groups :)

Only 3 weeks to go!
I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from all the Speakers :D

Any updates to your footy schedule QF WP?
The weekend wouldn't be the same without you at least one of the afternoons;)

Nothing yet - but I was on the Gabba during half time of the Lions v Demons match :D ;) . So at least Auskick is out of the way.

Have something to send you - it 's made it to the 2nd top of my To Do list

I have been able to confirm 3 new FTU BNE Speakers:

John Douglas, GM Marriott BNE
Hear insights into what goes into a merger of brands at the hotel level.

Stuart Dinnis, PEX+ Advisory Board, and formerly with Virgin Australia during the re-brand, and also many years with Virgin America.

Mark Ross-Smith, Head of Enrich & Loyalty with Malaysia Airlines.
With MH135 on 6th June, MH resumes service into Brisbane.
A great time to pick Mark's brains about the Enrich program, and why he thinks Enrich Platinum is one of the best out there!

Still taking FTU registrations, and still $20 off. See the link in Admin's 1st post.

Also, still some seats at Saturday night's dinner at ChaChaChar. See the social pages here for the link.

T-3 already! It's going to be good! :D

I was fortunate to have been asked by @Storyteller to be the MC for 3 of the Saturday afternoon sessions done by AFF members (@dfcatch, @Storyteller and @AFF Editor). Saw a number of members in the crowd and caught up with them during the afternoon and drinks (@zainman, @ozbeachbabe, @ALH and @GPH). Also caught up with @nlagalle (who has presented at an earlier session and was heading back to the Gold Coast for his Comm Games work)

AFF Editor in full cry (63 people at his session):

It was great that you could make it QF WP :)

The weekend was well received all round, and a wonderful opportunity to catch up with many old friends and meet a lot of new!

OzFlyGirl747, Trippin the rift, ithongy, cranky chick, wijomas, Ewing, dfcatch and myself all presented in sessions. And others who I don't know their AFF handles / arn't (yet) members of AFF :D

The Industry Loyalty Panel was really interesting - great to see such genuine passion from people who are in influential positions!

Thanks to all!

Great weekend. Lovely to meet up with old friends and make news ones. Quality speakers. Loved catching up with Will (Ryan Bingham) & Christy again. Crazy (perfect) couple

I had a great weekend. I especially enjoyed catching up again with other AFFers most of whom were presenters.
The presenters were amazing especially Matt!!! He is so informative, knowledgeable and very easy to listen to.
My only regret was that I was unable to attend each of the sessions and it was so difficult to choose!

It was an interesting mix of attendees with many who appeared to be just starting out their ff career.
