Frequent Flier SC Expiry

Hi everyone.

I have been looking at this web site for some time, great info and answers from everyone by the way! and I have decided to join up.

I have a question for the experts out there.

Due to work commitments I have been making quite a few flights including business class domestically and I have also taken up the double status points deal I received in an email.

Now the small first world problem I have is my SC expiry date is today, 30th June, and I have a total of 770 SC so I have reached Gold. "Rubs hands at getting the QC access for all flights "
With the double points I would be getting an extra 200 Sc I have also booked, during this window on the email, another business class trip and a flexi econ trip. the last trip lands on the 19th July.
These two trips alone will net me 480 SC.

So my question is with Qantas give me the points for my new year or will I just have to suck it up and resign myself to the fact that I will lose 200SC?

Do you think, with my head in the clouds, that Qantas would feel generous and let me extend my renewal date by 19 days?
If they did then I would have the grand total of 1450 and be eligible for Platinum

Any SC earnt after your deadline/anniversary will count for the following year. I've not heard of QF extending the date.

Look at the positive, you're well on the way to re-qual to gold.

Yeah true

A re-qual for gold would be nice, I suppose I just got carried away with the hugeness of it all with the almost 0 chance of skipping gold and going straight to Platinum
