Noticed this morning that Qantas is allowing free exit row seat selection on economy Domestic flights for Bronze, Silver and Qantas Club members. Previously charging $20 to $40 per domestic leg.

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but it worked on a variety of accounts including Qantas Club Bronze account, a regular Bronze FF account and a Silver FF account. All accounts were previously being charged a fee.

Do mean ahead of time or on the day of travel at the airport?

I see someone has already posted this on ausbt. :(

Last time this happened ausbt called Qantas to ask them if this was genuine or a mistake.

If anyone if thinking of doing the same - can I suggest not to? If it's a bug, enjoy it while it lasts. If it's not a bug, enjoy it while it lasts :)

Oh thats sad I only paid for mine a couple of days ago.

Doing seat selection on PER-SYD, it was offering me exit row seats for $60, so must have been a short term glitch....

Cannot select an exit row seat at check in for a domestic flight, even being WP. What the hell??? Rang Qantad, and two different operators told me I have to pay $20. What's next, WP being sent to Qantas Club???
