If anyone wants to join epicure wine club ,you can get complimentary membership by using coupon code - winefairgfw .

Any suggestions on their Sauv Blanc range? I normally buy New Zulland ones

Dont forget the bonus points offers when you buy your first and fourth dozen, and the bonus points with certain buys that last for a week or so each month.

Unlike samh004 I'm not quite so impressed with the prices, really there are some exceptional deals out there is you know where to look and frankly not that keen on the idea you need to pay for a wine club at a time of wine glut! Nevertheless with the free membership my wife and I have joined and hopefully we will find some deals that justify take-up with the relevant bonuses.

Watch the newsletters for the deal, just finished my load of Seppelt Xaviers Labyrinth shiraz that was a bargain as a BOGOF.

I wouldn't include the joining fee as part of the deals considering many members have had free memberships for various reasons.

I saw a few thins I liked, compared to Dan Murphy's and they were cheaper, that to me is a good deal, though I'm sure there are places where there's even more fantastic deals to be had, I'm just too lazy + I like points.

Like most things it really depends which wine you are looking at, and when... On epicure I find some things are quite 'good' value and some are junk.

Also as markis10 points out, if you buy 4 cases over the course of a year you get 10k bonus points (2k for first, then 8k for fourth).

is the offer for a free year's membership (ie waive $99)

the website is down so must be a few joining!

Yes, it would appear to waive the first year fee, no indication if it includes a 'gift' or not, probably not??

I guess I'm one who doesn't understand how you can determine whether a wine which is not available elsewhere is a bargain or not. Seppelts have a range of Shiraz offerings from the very cheap to very expensive, am not sure what this compares to and am thinking this is deliberate. While these type of wines are often marketed as exclusive there is no way of really telling if exclusive is marketing speak for "we couldn't get anyone else to buy it".

From my look at the site nothing stood out as screaming value, decent value maybe. But given the current glut of wine and the amount of stuff I get offered I tend to hold out for the first.

To samh004, yes there are definitely cheaper places than Dan Murphy's but yes agree it is a relatively easy option at good if not brilliant prices.

I found it a good drop for a quality somewhat aged wine at $10 a bottle (2008 vintage from a blend of Grampians/Heathcote sourced grapes), there have been a few threads here on similar good offers for wines that are readily available in specific vintages that are sought after, as always Caveat Emptor.

As for whites, in particular Sav Blancs, I find the velocity points on offer for a small purchase at NZWines very enticing, given the cost versus earn ration just about makes the wine free!

Most of the complimentary epiqure offers such as these exclude the gifts.

The free bonus bottle bundle offer in yesterdays email was the same free gift I got when joining! Its also worth mentioning that you get extra points for dining restaurants that offer QFF points.

I went for that 13 bottle bundle last night ... another 450 QFF points and only 2 dozen more for another 8K QFF new member bonus points.

I really think that once the 10K points are gleaned, the wines lose significant value as each of your first 48 bottles purchased have a 209 QFF point offset which I value from $5 ...

I just went into my account and see my avatar is already set the same as here, but don't recall uploading an image, where do you think they sourced the image? I don't think there's anywhere on the Qantas site where I've uploaded this image, but surely there must be?
