Flying Blue - another FF program going revenue-based

Another frequent flyer program is moving points earning to a revenue-based model. Flying Blue members will earn 4 points per Euro on AF/KL flights from 1 May 2018, rather than points/mile. It's not yet clear if status earn/retention or frequent flyer redemptions will also become revenue-based. (I sure hope not!)

This is pretty common now among the major US airlines, but not many European airlines have done this yet.

Points earning is not the end of the world. Will take a little bit longer to redeem those economy flights.

Revenue based model for status earning could be a much bigger issue.
