I signed up for this promotion when it came up several months back, didn't buy anything out of the ordinary to earn anything towards the Gift Card but kept an eye out to see whether anything I regularly buy had a Gold Card "collect" token on it. Received an email from Flybuys in August with my final Gift Card tally, and "we will be posting your Gift Card out in October, so keep an eye out for it". Well, October's been and gone and no sign of it. Has anyone else received theirs yet?

All my Flybuys statements come via email these days, so I assume they're sending the card separately - I think I'll flick them an email just to see what's happening ... and have just noticed I haven't even received an October statement yet anyway!

I used the coles contact us form to chase the gold gift card and the flybuys faq contact us system to chase the october statement and whether I had been chosen for the coupons. I waited until the coupon period started before I started any of the chasing. I got answers from both that I would receive everything soon.

In the end everything came in the one Australia post mailout, quite a thick envelope. It had the October statement, flybuys coupons, the gold giftcard and some advertising material for flybuys partners. The envelope had a "surface mail" notation on it. I don't work for Australia Post so I don't know exactly what this term means but I am guessing that it is the cheapest type of postage and takes much longer than normal mail deliveries. I guess that is why everyone received their coupons and gold cards over a long period of time.

Now that October has finished it is probably worth you chasing things up, just in case Flybuys have the wrong postal address for you or it got returned to sender accidently even though it had the right address.

Mine arrived last week (or the week before? Not sure as I was away), and we've already used it. $7.50. Big spending! :p

I don't feel so bad about my $2.25. Even that must have come by coincidence in buying the right products.

Sent from my GT-I9300T using AustFreqFly

I managed to get $17.50 on mine but that included a bonus $5 for going over $100 in one spend on a particular week. My regular bread ended up on the gold card list for four or five weeks of the promotion so I picked up a couple of dollars through this product. My partner's total was $3.00 from only using flybuys for two weeks of the promotion.

The terms and conditions of the program claimed they were only going to sent cards with whole dollar amounts using a rounding process but my card came with $17.50 exactly.

Well, I see StevePER's wife received hers today, so maybe mine will arrive, also being a Perth-ite! I've checked my Flybuys account and the postal address they have for me is correct. I've often found, since living in WA, anything sent from the Eastern States via a bulk mailout of any kind can take up to 2 weeks to get over here, thanks to the pathetic efforts of Australia Post. I've received items sent by standard post from the USA quicker than that!

Apart from not receiving the Gold Gift Card yet, I haven't received ANYTHING from Flybuys, no notification about My5 ending (although I knew it finished on 31 Oct), no coupons, nothing ... the first thing I knew about the coupons everyone else seems to be getting is from reading other threads on this forum!

Well, still a bit fat nothing for me from Flybuys. I emailed them last week to chase it up and received a reply that the statements had "recently" been posted out. Will be chasing them up again if nothing's arrived by the end of this week!!!!!

from reading this thread I am pleased that I didn't chase this promotion

we certainly didn't chase this promo .. i thought you only received a gift card if your total was over $5, so this was a total surprise

Minimum was $2. Initially I tried to find products to get me to this total and then I just took them as they came my way. My partner's $3 was mostly made up from our regular bread product.

I'm excited then. I got $14.50. Its going to be a real spend up for me! Not. I didn't even remember signing up for it so thanks for starting this thread to answer my question of 'what the heck is this thing'.

The card finally arrived today - $14.50 here as well Pushka! Mind you, I obviously don't rate any special offers from Coles, despite the thousands of $$$$ I put through their registers each year - didn't even get ONE coupon with my mailout :(

Wow. I thought everyone was getting the coupons with the monthly paper statement. I keep wondering whether loyalty programs actually reward loyalty. You gave us the impression you shop at Coles on a regular basis. I am wondering if they are targeting the coupons to people who only shop there occasionally or who they can tell aren't doing all their weekly shopping there(from product group data and other demographic information combined). We split our shopping between Coles, Woolworths and Aldi so they can probably tell from the data from our two accounts that we shop around. I think they are trying to get my partner to shop there every week and that's why they sent us really good coupons for each week of the program. Previous to this we were only using my partner's card every second or third week, depending on the offers and our needs for that week.

I hope you get some good email offers to make up for no coupons. Thanks for letting us know when your gift card arrived.

I think you're right RainbowGirl, I don't think loyalty programs DO reward loyalty! I shop at Coles and Woolworths every week - we have both in the same shopping centre, so I buy whatever I need from whoever has the best specials. I've been a Flybuys member ever since it's inception and have rarely, if ever, received any offers at all. I never receive any email offers and the only "Docket Deals" i ever get (on the bottom of the shopping docket) are for Liquorland, a place I've never bought anything from (and unlikely ever to either, seeing as I don't drink!). It's a pretty poor effort by Coles actually -I've been surprised that I've received quite regular (and sometimes very good) offers from Woolworths since joining their Everyday Rewards program, far better than anything I've received from Coles in all the years Flybuys has been in existence. I wonder too whether, as I live in Perth, Coles don't think it's worth giving out decent offers over here as they don't have Aldi to compete with. Or maybe it's just me, and everyone else in Perth gets better Flybuys offers than I do (which wouldn't be hard, seeing as I never get any!) LOL.

Go knock yourself out with it Jurahn - should buy, hmm, a few loaves of bread, maybe three? :)

I must admit though, I get offers from Coles rewards every few days - just got one today with triple bonus points with every shop for five days.
