I'm travelling Wed on QF8765 CHC to SYD (the EK operated service) in J and +1 and daughter in Y. We are on separate PNRs as I'm connecting to MEL, and them to BNE. I logged in tonight to do their seat selection and this message displayed:
Please review the following items

  • Please note that the Airline has cancelled one or more of your selected flights. Please modify your reservation, or contact your travel agent for further information. (9115)

I then checked my profile and I have the same message. I find it odd that QF would not email me about this like they usually do. As the message applies to both PNRs it makes me think it's the first sector that has been cancelled. I think it's unlikely, though not impossible that EK would cancel this service.

I also think it's odd the system is asking me to select a new flight but won't let me do so, and that the original flights are all showing as booked.

I'm out of phone range until Wed, yet ironically have internet. Do I turn up at the airport and hope for the best? Any other suggestions? Insight, wisdom and input on this is appreciated.

A look at QF flight status seems to show that leg all ok??

Do you use Skype? To call them? I have been in that situation (internet but no phone) a few times :)

I checked and I can also book seats on that flight on QF website - seems to be all good for that flight.

Only other thing I can think of is that somehow there is a payment problem - assume you booked / paid both the tickets the same way? Did you do it via Qantas or a third party? If a card bounced for any of a trillion reasons you could have a problem. Are they return legs? If that is the case then payment problem can be discounted?

Good thought. I hadn't considered that. Thanks.

Yes both booked direct with QF. And both are return legs.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

AFF has an ability to 'multi-quote'. That is, you can select a number of posts to quote in the one reply.

At the bottom-right of each post is a symbol with a quotation mark and + sign:

Click on that and a tick will appear:

When you have selected all the posts you wish to include in your reply, then click 'Reply With Quote' and all the posts selected will appear in the one message - ready for your input.

Using the multi-quote facility aids readability, and avoids any concern that a member may be 'post padding' to increase their post count.

A update on my original post.

Murphy and his law kicked in and my plans changed such that I was just 300m from CHC airport unexpectedly. A short walk and the Qantas and Emirates staff confirmed all flights on this booking are operating as scheduled and all PNRs are showing as confirmed. The QF rep even showed me the screen so I'll turn up on Wed and hope for the best. The error message is still appearing in both profiles. Very odd.

But as a bonus I took the opportunity to lock in row 4 on the 737 sectors.
