FJ and lounge access

Hi Guys,

Have checked on the QF website and can't quite see if I'll get lounge access prior to a FJ flight (MEL-NAN in Y) in a few weeks.

I can see we'll get SC's and points, but am not sure re access.

I am WP. I'm assuming no but am hoping to be surprised......

You will earn SC and points for the flight.

If it's a deep discount Y ticket on the QF code share you will earn 20SC and 1100 points one way plus have access to the FL.
If on an FJ ticket you will earn 10SC and 450 points and no access to either QF lounge.

I went MEL - NAN a couple of years ago at 11pm or so, and the problem was the F lounge was not open at that time. QF flight schedules may have changed since then but I would check the lounge opening times.

How did you book the flight? QF or FJ website, via a TA and what flight number us on your itinerary - a QF or FJ one?

You need to have booked the MEL/NAN as a QF marketed flight ie a QF codeshare flight number.

Your boarding pass will always state the flight of the operating carrier ie FJxx_ however your boarding pass will have a comment "sold as QFxx_" which is what the lounge angels will be looking for.

Every trip to NAN on FJ I have been able to access the lounge... If you do VA that is a different story as they share the Air New Zealand lounge and it doesn't open for all the VA flights...
