Has anyone had any experience with first2biz.com? Home

I am not sure how, but my mum has been put onto them and they have quoted $4,200 including taxes for J SYD-LHR return on Oneworld airlines. They quoted this price a few weeks ago on the proviso that there were no seats at the time but they would keep trying, and one has come up. Seems to good to be true.

Understandably scepticle
she asked them for more information and got this reply:

Hi xx_X,

Ok so let’s check again after you confirmed you will fly or not on Friday morning because even I got the seats now doesn’t mean they will still be available few days later.

Yes we will send you eTickets and you can check everything on the airlines web site once the tickets are issued.

It is ok I totally understand that, it is really a big amount of money that you have to make sure we are reliable before paying.

We can do the transfer by Paypal that the company hold the money before you get your tickets, and they will send you back the money if you end up receiving nothing from us.

I can also provide you our company details :-

A&E Ventures Corp
1812 West Burbank Blvd. Unit #342, Burbank, CA 91506
Phone no. 818 813 5693

Please let me know if you still have any other concerns.

Regards,

Any thoughts?

The poor prose and grammar makes me think it is a hoax, but could just be anAmerican's way of writing :)

Sounds like a big scam to me!

They are just using points for an award flight, hence good prices and poor availability, and the need to hide domain registration details:

So the flight will be legit (maybe) but will have all the usually restrictive "award" T&C's? And they just make their money by buying points and selling the flights at a margin?

you run the risk of the airline catching on to them on-selling fares through points and cancelling all their itineraries.

not worth it in my opinion, that doesn't even begin to deal with the risk of them being a fly by nighter...

Not a bad margin considering you can probably get that trip for under $2000 using the AA promo.

Yes, just tell your mum to buy the points and do it herself on AA or USDM offers....

DO NOT buy from this website. The business is not a registered seller of travel in the state of California and there are many complains regarding A&E venture corporation and first2biz.com. You should file a complain with the Attorney General of the State of California for deceptive business sales practices. I think the Hong Kong police is also investigating the owner Nick Williams & A&E venture corporation. His brother Mark Williams helps him run the business from Hong Kong.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

This doesn't even pass the sniff test.

If they're based in the US, check them out with the Better Business Bureau. Also find out if a license is needed to sell travel in the state they claim to be operating from, and if so ask them for their license number; then do the usual searches to see whats said about them in the public domain - let alone if they're even registered.

That as a first step should be able to weed out a good number of the businesses setup by the partners at Lier and DeShonko. (obligatory Fast Forward reference)
