Hi Guys

Hope you can put my fears to rest and help fine tune this first booking.

Looking to fly to USA/Europe next year from Perth to New York and returning from Amsterdam to Perth with a stop over in Singapore for a few days. With a couple of normal non-redemption bookings in-between.

I can see space for the following and just wondering if there are any issues with booking separate one way journeys?

PER - HGK - JFK - One way business in CX
JFK - DUB - Normal booking
DUB - AMS - Normal booking
AMS - SIN - One way business with SA
SIN - PER - One way business with SA

Is there anyway to merge Amex points from two accounts into one Asia miles account?

I know I can pool through Velocity but would then lose 35% transferring out to Singapore air? Can find space on SA to JFK but better deal through CX.

Thanks in advance and if any missing info is needed let me know.

There are no risk of booking one way ticket unless you are connecting via two one way ticket without an interline agreement between the earlier airline and the later airline, in which case delays in the first flight means you will get no compensation if you miss the second flight.

You are transfer points between amex programs however they if are in different program (gateway, ascent or ascent premium) then amex would charge a $5 fee for every 1000 points transferred.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
