Well I am a newbie so hope I am sharing the right kind of information with you all.

Just back from trip to Flores and Bali.

Flew GA719 BC Melb - Dps A330-200. Seating (angled flat bed), food and beverages all excellent for a 6 hour flight. Can't understand why Garuda have not updated the entertainment programs. So out of date compared to the budget airlines but managed to occupy myself with several nice glasses of Billycart on the way.
Had a nights stopover in Bali before heading to the new domestic terminal for flight to Flores. Wow. They have completely revamped the old international terminal for domestic use and it is now better than the new international in my opinion. Like the idea of large outdoor area. Supposedly for smokers but with a coffee cart and view of planes it is the best place to while away your time before boarding.

GA7026 to Ende via LBJ. Aerospatiale ATR 72 (well that is what they told me. It had propellers was all I knew!) Quick flight to LBJ but had to circle a couple of times while they got the dog off the runway! Kind of set the tone for airports in Flores. Brief stopover while they cleaned the plane around the remaining passengers then on to Ende.
Never been one to do an organised tour but in this case we did. Private tour (2 of us) with a guide and driver. Used Top Komodo Tour company and found them fantastic. Spent a week on Flires including overnight on a fishing boat. All brilliantly organised. Accomodation here is basic and roads are shocking but the breathtaking scenery is worth the rough windy roads and the Komodo dragons and wild deer, boars and other animals are worth a night on the deck of a boat!
Flew back out of LBJ to Dps GA7029. On time and no problems. All the domestic flights are one class with a "lunch box" with water, savoury roll and sweet roll. Simple but sufficient on such short flights.

After a couple more weeks in Bali flew back to Melbourne GA718 BC unaffected by the ash cloud (friends were stranded for ages with J* and Virgin. Easy enough flight although I can't understand why anyone would need breakfast 2 hours before landing when sleep would be far better!

Well hope my first post hasn't bored anyone too much and the content is appropriate! Happy to answer any questions!
