First F Redemption on EK using QF points

Any suggestions please ... I've never done F on EK so am researching using QF points JFK - DXB - HGK (stopover).

Then, HKG-SYD/MEL - CBR on whatever - prob easiest to get is CX J.

I've looked for EK 300 days +/- out over the past few days and I've seen no EK on QF site. What may I be doing wrong?

Keep trying. EK emerged much later than I would have expected. Have you checked on EK site to see if EK awards (through their program) are available? Qatar appeared even later.

Yes, but I'm leaving from JFK. It seems much easier to book CX F.
I have FOMO if I can't get EK F 33x days out and then CX will be gone too.

Yes, that's what I have been doing. Currently testing dates, am aware that 330 days from now is too early for my pref date.

If I was in your situation I’d definitely wait until the EK seats are released. Just keep checking regularly and you should be ok.

I wouldn't. I would book the CX and change it to EK later if something becomes available.

Do you mean the EWR-DXB B777? JFK is all A380s I believe.

For some reason that flight is the only one out of “New York” that has good F availability right throughout April and into early May.

Am I correct, that the EK 777 has slightly larger suites (and no shower nor bar), but otherwise is the same as the A380?

I wish there was a top rated enclosed F suite in one sector NY - HKG.

EK 777 F indeed has slightly larger suites and service feels more premium due to the smaller size of the cabin.

If you go ahead and book CX F make sure to use AS miles, great value from US to AU with HK stopover.

Thanks, I only have QF pts for EK. I had a few AS and I either donated them, or they expired. I don't see a bonus offer to buy any AS at the moment either.

Any thought to try for the EK new 77W F suites out of gee.. AMS? Wherever they fly it to (I keep forgetting)? Probably even harder to get avail on that, but that looks like another level up hardware wise.
