Can somebody please let me know what on earth is in the amenities pack for MEN on Qantas First Class

Moisturiser, skin calm after shave cream, deodrant, shaving cream (have to ask for the razor), eye shade, ear plugs, etc.

In bold are those we get for being gents!

Why do you ask?

Well, good on you Ron - its a whole different world up there, and so hard to go back to other parts of the plane!

What sort of plane r u flying on, and where to?

Remember to make time to have a couple of hours in the F lounge if in either Sydney or Melbourne - the dining is excellent. And also, book yourself a massage at the SPA, ring to make an appointment.

I can send you some pics when I get home if you like. PM me if you want some.

TBH... It's pretty ordinary!

I usually give them to my son or nephew but I have about 8 ATM as I have had a few recent flights.

The first class amenity kit contains PAYOT products from France. You can learn more about the QF F kits here...
Professional Beauty: Australian Beauty Industry News for Beauty Salons, Spas, Nail Technicians, Nail Bars, Tanning Salons, Waxing Salons, Beauty Colleges, Skin Rejuvenation Clinics - Payot reveals redesigned Qantas amenities kit

If you end up liking their products you can buy them from an online Australian store (based in Brisbane I believe) - The Facial Company Alpha H skincare | PAYOT | Napoleon Perdis | CLARINS | ASAP skin care | buy Dermalogica online

Enjoy your flight lucky duck :)

They should ring you the day before to book treatments etc.

Yes, they SHOULD, but last year out of the four SYD-LHR trips I did in F, they only managed to ring once - seems like they get busy - so hence why I ring in the morning and make my Spa booking. Usually reminds them to ask if I want to be met at the curb and do on-the-phone check in as well ... ;)

That's rubbish that you don't get called!! I am 100% for the phone call. I'd be complaining to QF if I were you. Every time they have called and given me a mobile number I can call if I require anything at all.

Seems to be a constant theme with QF.

The most consistent thing about them is inconsistency!!

Flying to Singapore on the A380 in first both ways !!
Should i phone them the day before or will they ring me ??

If they haven't contact you by 10.30am (day before) ring them (unless you are CL they won't). They usually contact me after 13.30 which is 24hr before flight and your flight is 17.00 so the may not contact you til later in afternoon. So you may miss out on a booking in the Spa.

I am now in the habit of contacting them around 10.30am, if you get answer machine leave message for them to contact you, ring back if they have not got back to you - they use excuse they are busy ringing earlier flight schedules.

Enjoy F

That is on a paid F ticket or CL right?

I've always had a paid ticket and have only been CL recently so I am not 100%.

All I can say is that whether you pay/upgrade/use points... The same rules should apply.

There are so few F seats on a flight so IMHO EVERYONE who occupies one should be treated equally!!

I don't give a toss how you happen to be seated there..... Just make sure you come upstairs to the bar for a drink..... AND get the CSM to bring the champagne from downstairs!!;)

Last time I was at the desk in the day spa the lady at the front desk was in deep conversation over the phone regarding something about following day schedules and certain problems. Not sure who to but sounded like issues with forwarded the details of F customers. So maybe they don't always forget but communications break down internally.

Payot is the same stuff they use & give you at the spa if you're thoughtful enough to ask.

Sigh... a few more months until I leave the country again. Will have to get one of the female kits for the GF, they do look a lot better. Flounge on Saturday at least hurray :)

The A380 has a small lounge bar area and red sofa at the top of the stairs in the aircraft it is in front of the J section and both sets of passengers use it . Quite good fun and v.social
Enjoy

There is a difference between upgraders and others - upgraders can't be called 24 hours beforehand as they only find out closer to the time - around 5 hours is a theme we hear but I have heard about 18 hours as well.

What I might do if I get upgraded and that is confirmed - I might call the lounge directly to see if I can prebook - though quite what I would do in a Spa I dont know...
