A few nights ago they showed a Qlink Dash 8 at St. george doing the same thing.

That's wonderful - and donated directly from the catering division.

Good on you, Qantas and QantasLink. And to the unnamed pilot on the "Captains Choice" aircraft.

Gestures like this make you just a bit more faithful in the human race....

Can we move all the QF link staff into QF and vice versa, they seem to show initiative, professionalism and customer orientation thats not seen often elsewhere in the QF group, well done!

Wow I am shocked - you mean something good happened involving QF and the media reported it .......and without adding the numerous news stories aboutt the airline that are current.

Well done to everyone to everyone at QLink, great effort considering all the logistics in organising it.

I'm sure ALAEA are putting the spin on it that it was stranded because of poor maintenance done overseas.

But good work by Qantas to chip in and help. It further supports my feeling that Qantas is a part of the Australian fabric and willing to help Australians in their time of need.

Excellent work Elbarto. You managed to turn this into an anti-union story.

Maybe someone else could have a go at public servants as "there were no bureaucrats involved".

Back years ago I was in ISA and Qantas was taking out daily supplies as needed.

The suppliers would not have been able to send out hundreds of boxes of goods to keep the shelves full to a degree anyway.

Qantaslink's mercy dash to Moree

Moree mayor Katrina Humphries said she received the call from a Qantaslink
manager last week as her town was suffering from the worst floods to devastate
the region in 36 years.

The northern NSW town had suffered 10 days without sunshine – flooding more
than 300 homes and causing serious damage to many others.

Ms Humphries said Qantaslink called last Saturday to ask how they could help
the flood victims.

“I said flippantly, unless you can get a plane in here loaded fresh fruit for
our kids, bread and milk, well there's not much else you can do to help,” she
said.

Something positive for once out of the media in relation to Qantas, nice to see something different for once :)

Also seems like a ball-breaker that mayor!
