A dyslexic finger slip saw me book a day early for our Dubai stopover, en route to Casablanca.
I emailed the hotel to confirm availability and was a tad miffed to be told I had the date wrong.
I had booked the room with Qantas Hotels , an online booking and paid in advance.
This booking was non cancellable , non changeable, non refundable.
Shrugging my shoulders , I was about to book another room.
SWMBO is made of tighter stuff, and was a study in conciliation as she spoke to the roo.

Qantas have actively pursued an poorly responding hotel , to this afternoon confirm a change of date.
We have even received a small refund on account of the exchange rate

This was outstanding , above and beyond service from Qantas, and I say very well done.

Despite not being able to make changes online, overall I've found Qantas Hotels and their Philippine callcentre pretty good.
 
Perhaps these experiences confirm the notion that you don't know until you ask. I too have found when I explain a situation (or a silly error - such as the incorrect date) Qantas hotels and activities are very accommodating (excuse the pun).

i thought I read that they were now wholly owned by Qantas.
