EY First Class Lounge

I've booked to fly to SYD-CAI via AUH in F, however EY have cut F on the second sector.

As an arriving pax in F, and a Velocity Platinum frequent flyer, can I access the First Class Lounge at AUH during the 8 hour layover?

All signs point to... maybe. It seems to depend on the mood of the lounge gatekeepers.

I have travelled twice into AUH on an F connecting to C . I have been given access to F lounge both times.
it is certainly a lot nicer than than the J lounge.
make sure you eat in the lounge as the food is much better than on the aircraft , the champagne is lovely and cold( unlike the useless warm french on the aircraft) and the orange juice freshly squeezed.
also make sure you have a shower and get a massage.

The F lounge is certainly a top location ... Particularly like the free massage and a shower... BUT as your following flight isn't in F, you may have a problem- even with your va platinum card... As the previous post said--- it in the hands of the lounge angels ... I believe the business lounge is nice as well...

If you've got an 8hr layover, why not checkout Abu Dhabi? The Ferrari world attraction, the Emirates palace hotel or take the 45min luxury coach to Dubai for the day (much more to see and do)..,

If it's all in one reservation, and you are in Business, because it is the highest class on the second leg, then you will be granted access. We spent 9 hours in the F Lounge on Christmas day, and it actually wasn't as horrid as I thought. There are rooms to sleep in in the EY F Lounge as well.

FYI - Allow 1.5 hours to get from AUH - DXB via road. I certainly wouldn't do it in 8 hours.
