EY Etihad Valentines Day Companion Fares

Etihad have a pretty good companion fare sale running at the moment (ends 15 Feb).

I’m looking at F Sydney to London return and a fare of ~$19k - that’s for two of course.

The alternative for me is J on QF, at a fare of around $14k.

I have not travelled EY before, and have a gizillion FF points on QF, which I could possibly use for an upgrade - although my luck with upgrades has been hit and miss. Not too worried about SCs.

What would you choose? EY F or QF J? And why?

EY F A380 for sure. The hard product beats QF J.

Booked this fare SYD-CDG and LHR-SYD for August/September. Really looking forward to it. Now seems like I have another trip, same itinerary in June/July. Can't get the same deal and looking for suggestions in F or J.
