Hi have 4,600 points expiring at the end of March 2016

Too small to convert to QF points (min required is 5k) - is there a way to extend them e.g. with online surveys etc?

You're able to purchase Hyatt points, however I'm not sure if it extends the shelf life of current ones..

Any activity such as buying points will extend your points life. Another suggestion would be to quote your HGP # at your local Australian Hyatt property for spend like a coffee in the bar/lounge (without a stay reservation). That would do the trick quite cheaply.

Another suggestion which I can't confirm but might be worth a try is to book a category 1/2/3 property using points + cash (now available online) and then cancel the booking. That activity may reset the timer as well.

Just make sure the Hyatt restaurant you'll be going to offers this, I know that GH Melbourne and PH Sydney don't.

Does anyone know if an existing AVIS booking can credit directly if you quote your HGP#? Or does the rental require a Hyatt AWD?

I think the easiest option would be to make a $25 purchase of points.

I know I had a drink at the Park Hyatt Sydney a couple of years ago and presented by Hyatt membership. Points posted without any issues.

I just saw your post as I had already posted my thread. I have 600 points that is about to expire, I am happy to give them to you if that helps. It would put you over the 5000 point limit and you could convert them to miles. At least mine wont go to waste.

Hi RoseAnna - thanks for your offer! Not sure how that would work but I will PM you with my details. Thank you again :)

For those playing at home, quoting HGP gave me 500pts for a one day car rental (work related - using corp AWD). It took a couple of weeks to come through.

The $25 points purchase option - which I did also - was immediate.

Hi Marco, I tried to PM you but you exceeded your storage limit :) Just check your account.
