Expired Woolworths gift card

I have just realised my Woolworths gift card expired on the 16 June 2016
Is there anyway I can still use it?

Try just using it and not saying anything about the date. It may work, I don't know.

I just tried to use it at Dans online but it said We could not validate your gift card. Check the card number and PIN before trying again.

The reason why gift cards are often discounted is because such a high %ge do this

I have been lucky when going back to the store and they have reactivate in for a short while, enough time for me to spend it.

My exp with WW gift cards is once exp you are screwed - time to move on - PITA but fact of life.

It is not normally possible to extend the expiry of WISH or store branded gift cards. The best way to enquire further is the Contact Us link at www.everydaygiftcards.com.au fill in the form and the customer service team will look into options.

I believe the answer is no.

One of the reasons they sell so many gift cards at often generous discounts is because they know a significant percentage forget to use them. Free money for the issuer.

Call them too..... They can reactivate and allow you to spend money.

Have had credit extended to use immediately on expired cards.....

I have had one re-activated and extended.

So I know for sure that all who say it can't be done are wrong.

So call them.

They did it for me. They might not do it for you.

I took the advice posted here and contacted the gift card team and I am pleased to say that they have extended the expiry of the gift card by 1 month.

They said it was a gesture of goodwill and I thanked them for their offer.

Birthdays! A Wish gift card was given as a birthday present last year - now another birthday has rolled around and the recipient suddenly remembered it's existence. It was purchased 2nd April 2016 and when balance is looked up online it shows the $ amount as being available, 53 weeks later.

We are simply going to try to spend it ASAP and if that fails, will do what JSD suggested with hopefully the results that Austman and ellen10 experienced.

Hmmm with some research it appears Wish cards have a grace period of one month.

... The grace period is one month on Wish cards, but they'll also do extensions if you give them a call. ...

So it's spend, spend, spend ...
