Dear Member,

I am writing to tell you about a change we're making to the way you earn points with the Eurostar Frequent Traveller programme.

From now on, each time you make a booking, points will be awarded and count towards your membership tier once you have travelled. Previously, they counted towards your membership tier at time of booking.

Why are we making this change?
It's a standard way of doing things in the travel industry and will probably be familiar to you if you're a member of any other loyalty programmes, like air miles schemes. We hope that this makes the rules of the programme simpler.

What else is changing?
Nothing at all. You'll still be able to earn the same number of points as you do now when you make a booking and quote your membership number.

When are we making this change?
This change will be effective from the next time you make a booking and does not impact any bookings you have already made.

If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to give your dedicated Eurostar Frequent Traveller team a call on 08448 117 117 – we'll be happy to talk it through with you.

Yours sincerely,

Dorothée Mariotte
Head of Loyalty

Don't tell me people were booking a bucket load of refundable fares to pad their profile, taking advantage of the benefits for a cheap fare in the short term then blowing off the padding fares?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Not sure. I never experienced it myself as I had a few trips already booked/taken before I got my membership (was able to retro credit at least).
