Europe to MEL - Sept - Velocity Business Reward

Howdy,

I had posted an earlier thread where Greenfish kindly helped identify some return flights to Europe using VFF points in Business. Due to new baby arriving I only got around to booking the MEL - MUC leg.

Having now gone to book the return I am finding no reward availability any time around the date of 7 Sept. 4 weeks ago there was plenty (bigger fool me I hear you say).

Looking for some help to get 2 x Adults + 1 x Infant back from Europe on or +/- a few days from 7 Sept using VFF points ideally in Business. Ideally we would return from Milan or Rome but if need be can come back from any European location e.g. Paris, London etc.

Was 218k points. Now is circa 1.5m. I wonder whether they have removed all availability due to upcoming changes?

Happy of course to pay for a solution.

Thanks for the donation for my charity ride! Unfortunately availability can change rapidly with no particular rhyme or reason. My philosophy is to book as soon as I see something suitable, happy to pay a later change/cancellation fee in preference to not getting a reward seat at all.

There is availability on the 2nd of Sept via PER - for 125,000 points each on EY (bookable on the VA site). SQ availability doesn't look good - OK SIN-MEL but bad to SIN from ZRH/MXP/FCO/MUC/FRA unless you go much earlier (1st / 2nd of Sept).

There's some seats from Manchester (with associated huge UK taxes) available on the 6th of Sept, all the way through to Mel. Not exactly handy to Italy though...

Two seats just opened up from MXP on the 7th of Sept - MXP-AUH-SYD-MEL. Would recommend you book ASAP. 125000 points each + $95
