Here is a copy of the email I got.

Basically just open up a Margin Lending account a few weeks before the end of October 2005 for $20,000 and then either use it or close it off. Your choice just for 5,000 points.

Read the letter below for how to get the further 15,000 points but may be harder or more annoying to do depending on how often you invest.

* Maintain an average loan balance of more than $20,000 for 3 months from 1 November 2005 and receive an additional 5,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points**
* Plus, if you then maintain an average loan balance of more than $20,000 for a further 3 months from 1 February 2006 , you’ll receive an additional bonus of 10,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points**(i.e your average loan balance through the period 1 November 2005 to 30 April 2006 is no less than $20,000)
