Etihad / VA points fail question.

Just returned 2 weeks ago from Seychelles on EY. Booked flights through EY in Y but bid for upgrades. BNE to AUH was successful and really enjoyed J. Finally got VA points and SC's come through but got nothing for the long leg we were upgraded on.
Surely we'd get these points as Y at worst right? No points, no SC's and no bonus. All other sectors were ok.

Yes i have now the 14 days have passed. Will see what happens.

It's an Etihad thing. When you bid upgrade, your fare class gets turned into an award ticket (I class?), so the computer credits you 0.

so....an appeal should be successful?

Eventually yes. I send my original e-ticket showing the original fare class, as well as the bid upgrade cancellation and reissued ticket.

I finally had to call VA members line and manually request this to be added to my account which they did in a few minutes without issue. Seems correct that etihad do put the flight upgrade in the system as an ineligible flight.
Anyway all resolved now thanks.
