I'm taking a trip to Dublin at the end of the month in J and I have booked the Etihad chauffeur for the pick up on arrival and also the outward bound trip from Dublin -- my question is about the 50 Klms distance from the Airport ! is that 50 Klms driven to an address? or 25Klms to and from the nominated address?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thank you Simo !! thats what I was thinking but a friend of mine planted the seed of doubt!! I can see the way he was thinking by the way it is written by Etihad.

I assume you're hoping to take the chauffeur well outside of Dublin because 50km is a third of the way across the country!

ROFLMAO!!!! the address is 48.2 kls from the airport !! ahh the luck of the Irish!!

Definitely 50km. I was picked yesterday and I live 42km from BNE

We are travelling 2 sectors in J class with Etihad - CDG AUH AUH SIN - and plan to use the Etihad Chauffeur - not a service that we are used to, even a taxi is a step up for us, so some help would be appreciated. I'm assuming a tip would be expected/appreciated - what would the experts suggest a respectable amount be?

No tip

The chauffeur services are well paid by Etihad

I have used this service several times in BNE, SIN, AUH, LHR, CAI and ATH. At no stage was a tip expected , asked for or offered. The drivers were all professional and provided a great service.

Sit back and enjoy the ride that you are paying for.

The service was impeccable !! Certainly takes the stress out of getting to and from the airport !

Totally agree. We needed two cars - the girls loved their large Audi with complimentary chockies and water.
Both came together, 10 minutes early and helped with the bags. Sure beat taxis or shuttles.

What do you need in terms of status/tickets to get the chaffeur service?

I have an economy EY flight from AUH-MELcoming up , I will probably be staying at a hotel in Dubai on the day of departure... was planning to get the Etihad transfer coach from Dubai-AUH

You have to fly in J or F.

The late models Q7 and Caprice were both very nice on the trip to the airport. The experience was topped driving home in a new A8 finishing the holidays on a high.
A very impressive and impeccable service being delivered by Etihad.
The driver advised that the standard of airline chauffeur services varies with the middle east airlines leading the way.

We will fly Etihad from CDG to AUH in september. One of us is booked in business, the other in Economy. Do you think we can both use the Etihad chauffeur service without a problem, or should I ask the company to make sure its OK or pay an extra fee before hand ?

I don't see it being a problem.
My wife and I were on a combined reward seats booking with the two girls on separate 'bought' Citi reward bookings which we used to hire the cars on. They didn't want to see our J bookings or who went in which car.

Thanks, but I guess the number of passengers flying business class was the same as what they had on record, right ?
