I'm still confused ... the T&C's quoted in post #3 last Augusts version quote the following:

In any case, these rates are coming up cheaper than the USA 33% advance purchase January sale which include breakfast but are non cancellable.

They are flexible (albeit with a 3 days prior cancellation deadline).

Since I am HHonors gold, we get breakfast anyway so for me it's a good deal (I just have to sacrifice a few hundred Amex MR points).
