Empty nester visits kids

Hi all,
I over did the bringing up independent children and now have to chase all over the world to visit them. My husband and I are retired and have lots of touring to do and tend to spend a fair chunk of holiday money visiting kids so are keen to make the most of our frequent flyer points. We tend to fly premium economy to fit the tall husband in but would love to upgrade!
I have been receiving AFF newsletter for ages but never got involved in discussions. Decided it was time when I had a question and thought "I know where I might get an answer!"
